MODES OF SPREAD
Transmitted mainly from person to person by droplet infection or droplet nuclei created by sneezing, coughing, or talking
SYMPTOMS
- Fever lasts from 1-5 days on average 3 days in adults which rises up to high grade
- Chills and headache
- Coughing
- Aches and body pains
- Generalized body weakness
PREVENTION

Encouraging sufferers to cover their faces with hand kerchief when coughing and sneezing

Tell the patient to stay at home at the first sign of influenza

Avoidance of crowded places during wide spread disease in community
