MODES OF SPREAD

• By the bite of mosquito species Aedes aegypti

SYMPTOMS

• Sudden fever of high grade
• Severe Headache
• Pain over fore head
• Muscle pains & joint pains
• Dryness of mouth, severe thirst

High fever, facial flushing, head ache, along with anorexia, vomiting, epigastric discomfort, tenderness at the right coastal margin—suggestive of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever

PREVENTION

• Preventing the Aedes mosquito growth and preventing from mosquito bites is the only means of preventing the disease
• Preventing the stagnant water
• Prevent the mosquito breeding places.
• It should be taken care that the stagnant water should not contain used up coconuts, broken glass bottles, old tires, empty tins as these promote breeding of mosquitoes
