MODES OF SPREAD
- By the bite of mosquito species Aedes aegypti
SYMPTOMS
- Sudden fever of high grade
- Severe Headache
- Pain over fore head
- Muscle pains & joint pains
- Dryness of mouth, severe thirst
High fever, facial flushing, head ache, along with anorexia, vomiting, epigastric discomfort, tenderness at the right coastal margin—suggestive of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever
PREVENTION
- Preventing the Aedes mosquito growth and preventing from mosquito bites is the only means of preventing the disease
- Preventing the stagnant water
- Prevent the mosquito breeding places.
- It should be taken care that the stagnant water should not contain used up coconuts, broken glass bottles, old tires, empty tins as these promote breeding of mosquitoes
