Metocloperamide Nimesulide

            Norethindrone Acetate

Norethindrone Acetate is a widely used drug for preventing pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation. The drug is also used for treating menstrual or uterine disorders caused due to progestin imbalance, including secondary amenorrhea, endometriosis, and abnormal uterine bleeding.

Working
The drugs works by causing the cervical mucous to thicken and thus making it harder for the sperm to move towards the uterus. It also affects the fallopian tubes and the uterus lining to prevent pregnancy

Indications: Sequential administration during oestrogen replacement therapy in post menopausal women with an intact uterus.

Dosage
In cyclic treatment with oestradoil, norethindrone acetate should be given during last 12 days of each 3 - week period of oestradiol administration, so that the 4th week of each cycle remains without any treatment. In patients taking continuous oestradiol therapy, norethindrone acetate should be taken for 10-14 days of each month.

Contra- Indications: Hypersensitivity

Side Effects
The drug has certain side effects, that can affect individuals in different ways. The following are some of the side effects, that are often associated with the drug:
