Levamisole Hydrochloride Metformin Hydrochloride

            Mecobalamin

Mecobalamin is a CNS or Central Nervous System Drug used in Peripheral neuropathy, and Diabetic neuropathy etc. The drug is also used for treating vitamin B12 deficiency

It is a kind of endogenous coenzyme B12. Mecobalamin plays an important role in transmethylation as a coenzyme in the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine. The drug is well transported to nerve cell organelles, and promotes nucletic acid and protein synthesis.

Dosage
1500 mcg of mecobalamin daily divided into three doses, for a period of minimum two months. The dosage may be adjusted depending on the patient's age and symptoms.

Side Effects
The drug has certain side effects, that can affect individuals in different ways. The following are some of the side effects, that are often associated with the drug:
  • Gastrointestinal adverse drug reactions including anorexia, nausea, vomiting.
  • Rashes may also occur sometimes
