            Levetiracetam Injection

Levetiracetam Injection is a clear, colorless, sterile solution and an antiepileptic drug. It is through intravenous administration. Levetiracetam is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a faint odor and a bitter taste. It is highly soluble in water. It is freely soluble in chloroform and in methanol, soluble in ethanol, sparingly soluble in acetonitrile and practically insoluble in n-hexane.

Uses
The dose of Levetiracetam medicine is for injection into a vein. It is given by a health care professional in a hospital or clinical setting. Levetiracetam injection is used for certain types of seizures. It is used with other medicines that can also help to control seizures.

Dosage
The dosage is prescribed by a physician. The total daily dose ranges 30–120 mg. For treatment of seizures, the dosage can be 60–200 mg daily. The daily dosage for children is typically 3–6 mg per 1 kg of body weight. Dosages should not be exceeded. It is also important to bind to the proper schedule for use of the medication. Use of the drug should not be ceased without consulting a physician.
