Fexofenadine Glipizide

            Fluconazole

Fluconazole is a drug belonging to the class of anti fungals called triazoles. It is used for treating various fungal infections in different parts of the body, including yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, esophagus , abdomen , lungs. The drug is also used for treating meningitis, also caused by fungus.

Working
The drug acts by preventing and slowing the fungi growth and thus avoiding any infection. Eg: The growth of fungi that cause infection.

Dosage
The Dosage will vary depending on the type of infection and also the body part infected.

Contra-Indications: Hypersensitivity

Side Effects
The drug has certain side effects, that can affect individuals in different ways. The following are some of the side effects, that are often associated with the drug:
  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • Skin Rash
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhoea
The drug may affect the foetus and hence, should be avoided by pregnant women. It also passes into breast milk and hence should be avoided by doctors.
